Sadly it isn’t all hearts and flowers for everyone…

At WE R HERE we meet many people who have been affected by domestic abuse in many ways. The figures surrounding this very hidden yet devastating form of abuse are indeed stark;

  • An average two women are murdered every week by a partner/ex partner.
  • An estimated 1.9 million adults aged 16 to 59 years experienced domestic abuse in the last year, according to the year ending March 2017 Crime Survey for England and Wales (1.2 million women, 713,000 men).
  • The majority of victims of domestic homicides recorded between April 2013 and March 2016 were females (70%).
  • A total of 228,385 child protection referrals have been made as a result of domestic abuse-related incidents in the year ending June 2017, based on data supplied by 30 police forces in England and Wales.

Our service provides specialist therapeutic support for individuals of all ages, and also to family groups who are rebuilding their lives in the Aftermath of this trauma.

There is no magic wand.

There is no miracle fix.

But at WE R HERE we are determined to offer a safe and supportive space to support the rebuilding of emotional lives which have been  shattered.
